Komera wanted to create a short Mother’s Day themed video to encourage donating to the nonprofit’s upcoming annual Komera Global Run. Journalism major and media lab intern, Alex, took on the project as his last of the spring 2014 semester. The underpinning of the video was a short interview done with Margaret, her mother, and her daughter, as a representation of three generations of women–and runners, potentially! Following the interview, Alex shot footage around Boston then edited the footage together with some title cards and graphics, creating the end product you see here:

Thank your Mother for teaching you to run the world.
Make a $60 donation to the Komera Global Run and we will send you a beautifully handcrafted Komera bracelet for your Mom!
The money raised by the Komera Global Run will go towards empowering the Komera Scholars. It will allow them access to secondary education, organizational support to uplift their local communities as well as provide them with the chance to challenge and rejoice in the power of their bodies through sport.
This Mother’s Day give your Mother the opportunity to teach the Komera Scholars how to run the world, just like she taught you. Donate in her honor this Mother’s Day.
