Shadi, one of our graphic design interns this summer, created a series of designs for member organization, Marayundo Initiative. Through working with the nonprofit she noticed they did not have a style guide. She offered to create one to help the nonprofit further develop their brand aesthetic. The style guide has the necessary design elements and specs related to layout logic, graphic treatment and design aesthetic that could be used for future graphic design material produced for the organization. Official typography, color palletes and logo mark variations along with alternatives provided for web usage and to accommodate different background colors were among some of the elements included in the style guide. The guidelines provided will serve to produce effective and consistent communication material that will reflect the organization’s visual identity. In the future when the nonprofit works with different interns or graphic designers they can easily explain their branding with the guide.
