BNID’s Leader in International Women’s Development Speaker Series

Topic: Mazal Renford will be participating in Boston Network for International Development’s 2014 Leader in International Women’s Development Speaker Series.

Mazal Renford comes to us with a wealth of knowledge and experience in the role of women in developing societies. Under the auspices of MASHAV – Israel’s Agency for International Development Cooperation, Ministry of Foreign Affairs – she has organized hundreds of training courses at the Mount Carmel International Training Center in Haifa, Israel designed to promote women’s leadership, poverty eradication and socio-economic development. She has represented Israel at a host of international conferences and is an annual participant in the official delegation of Israel to the UN Commission on the Status of Women.

As a member of Soroptimist International and the Society for International Development, among many others, Ms. Renford is an avid supporter of the Millennium Development Goals and is concerned with strengthening, supporting and mentoring the promotion of women in all spheres of society. She will be joining us to speak on the centrality of women’s right in peace relations and sustainable development.
