Hayley, an intern from this past summer, designed a logo for the Greater Boston Citizen Initiative, a friend of the Next Mile Project. The initiative strives to promote the value of citizenship and provide services to legal permanent citizens to become U.S. citizens. Hayley’s goal was to create a simple, yet attractive logo for GBCI. The nonprofit was going through a re-branding phase and was deciding between two new names as well.
Inspired by the values of the organization, she pursued numerous designs and color changes for the new logo. Since the organization did not have a specific image in mind for the logo, Hayley came up with several iterations and color combinations to choose from. She also used the two new name options on the logos to help figure out which one the nonprofit thought would be a better fit. Take a look into her creative process and the final logo below:
