The number of emails accruing in mailboxes is already unmanageable, so NMP wanted a way to consolidate information concisely, effectively, and attractively. Our marketing interns this semester, Carol and Megan, created a Weekly Newsletter that will become an integral NMP communication tool.
The email has since become a fantastic platform utilized to highlight our Lunch and Learns, special occasions, member organizations, and media lab work.
Additionally, Carol and Megan have compiled a list of relevant themes in a social media content calendar to aid in NMP’s marketing strategy. Thanks to their efforts, we are beginning to explore a pertinent nonprofit topic every week. Thus far we have tackled End of Year Giving, and #GivingTuesday. At the bottom of the newsletter, readers can peruse a list of links shared throughout the week across our various media outlets.
Since crafting a template that can easily be populated with events, updates, and useful information for subscribers, they have jointly edited several editions of the new publication. Carol and Megan’s efforts will provide an efficient system that those who eventually take over will be able to easily navigate.
